These bad boys are surprisingly easy to make, 5 minutes of preparation and 15 minutes of baking, DONE!!
So lets get healthy, shall we?!
So here are my ingredients:
- 1-1/2 cup oats
- 2 large ripe bananas
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 1 tsp cocoa powder
- a dash of coconut milk
Lets get a bit creative and add flavors that you like. I wouldn't mind adding chia seeds instead of sesame or crushed nuts or anything you think would go great with this banana oatmeal cookies. I won't mind adding cinnamon powder. It will definitely go great with this recipe but I didn't have it in the house. I also added the coconut milk to bring this milky coconut flavor. Not a bad idea!!
Alright, once we have all the ingredients we need, we can add them all together in a large bowl then mashed them together until combined.
So this is how it would look like after we mashed all the ingredients. Perfectly mashed!!
Prepare the baking sheet and start scooping large balls of dough onto the baking sheet. I used about 1 tablespoon for each dough as you can see from the photo below. They definitely smell good already after mixing the ingredients.
Preheat the oven and ready to put these little bad boys in. It's best to bake for 15 minutes not more because they can get burned easily. While baking, OMG! the smell was so good. They kinda smell like banana cake and yes they taste a bit like banana cake too but a bit chewier and crunchier.
After baking for 15 minutes, let them banana oatmeal cookies cool down for a bit on the baking sheet. I know they look so yummy and hard to resist but we wait for few minutes then transfer them to a nice eating plate.
And there you have it!! Simple healthy banana oatmeal cookies. Not long after they are done, I just pretty much finished the whole thing by myself and guilt-free. Haha!! I don't mind having these bad boys for breakfast or snack during late afternoon. It's one of my favorite snack so far.
Not only they are healthy and easy to make, they are quite cheap too and the ingredients are super easy to find. So good luck to you all in making these banana oatmeal cookies.
